I bought this to replace the original mechanical regulator on my '66 F100 since it's a driver and once installed, you can't tell it's not an original piece. Perfect fit and works with the 75 amp PowerMaster 1G retrofit alternator too. It's nice not relying on 56 year old electronics to get me down the road anymore.

I purchased this "analog" style, concours correct regulator about 10 years ago, because I wanted to replace some generic junk regulator I had installed years earlier. Although this item has worked very well, the headlights & interior lights still flicker; the ammeter gauge likes to jump around, too. In order to eliminate the aforementioned issues, I decided to purchase the "electronic" voltage regulator (# 10316-1) which has worked out well. With this being a quality part and all, I will simply keep the analog regulator as a backup, while on the road.
