Had originally used the reproduction non-solid state unit which caused my constant voltage regulator to burn out. Motorcraft solid state unit is much more reliable, and keeps voltage reading at approx. 14.6 volts. Works great.

This regulator is an excellent product, it has smoothed out the frequency of the alternator supply; in short it has removed the flickering noticed in the lights. The delivery to the U.K. was prompt as usual, well done all at NPD. Andy Shelley

Replaced this unit at the same time I replaced the alternator. Worked good but I don't really think anything was wrong with the one it replaced except it was extremely old.

I have purchased several time this Motofcraft regulator. Quality is perfect, voltage regulation is so much precise that with mechanical regulators. I always purchase the original cover in addition and replace the cover of the electroinic version, so that engine compartment looks unmodified.

I purchased this "electronic" voltage regulator to replace the "analog" concours correct style regulator. Having done so, my headlights and interior lights no longer flicker, while the ammeter gauge has a virtual, constant read. Genuine Ford / Motorcraft product, too! Perhaps one day I'll swap this regulator cover with the original, concours correct styled cover I mentioned earlier.
