This boot is made of a good quality real black leather that features a black stitching on all sides. It is attached to a factory style steel retaining plate for easy installation onto your center console trim. Very well made and stitched, installed on a MAC Short-Throw Shifter. The hole on the shifter boot is almost perfect diameter for the shifter! Also, the length of the boot isn't too long or too short, it is almost perfect length! A++
