This seems like a fine piece. I bought it to make sure I had it if I needed it when upgrading to the wood grain steering wheel. The original on the car fit a little better. This one went in place, but the original fit and kind of locked it place. It had a better ridge on the back side that fit perfectly against the hub. I suspect it doesn't matter though, as once on the steering column there is no where for it to go. If you are replacing everything you should get it.
