Repro. It is advisable to use an additional trunk lid weatherstrip when aligning the trunk lid prior to paint.

Unfortunately I found that it was a problem with the car when it was built rather than the deck lid because it fit exactly like the original that was on the car. However it’s a good quality part. A friend of mine brought me his fastback from Kansas over the weekend to get all his panels straight and the gaps and seams even. His deck lid is rotten so this is going to work nicely on his car.
