To our knowledge, there is only one factory in Taiwan with the tooling to run this part, and that's what everyone (including AMD) is importing. Please understand that AMD is not a manufacturer, and we (NPD) have access to all of the same factories they do, and then some. When there are indeed choices, competing toolings for a specific part, we have always sourced on a best-quality priority, whoever that manufacturer might be. Most of the well-known "brands" in sheet metal are not manufacturers whatsoever, and are not carrying products that come from just one source. So it can really get misleading if you hang your hat on a single importer's "brand", and have blind faith that they'll always have the best-available. It is far from the case.
