TORQUE BOX, Front, RH, Canadian made, .075 inch thick steel or 14 gauge, Torque boxes were first used on hardtops in 1967 on the LH side only, These will fit 67 they just were not original to that year, Note: While these panels are made in Canada and at one time part of the Paddock/American-Designers tooling, the quality of the parts have degraded over time to a point where we have a strong preference towards their imported counterpart,

It took a little trimming and a hour or so but it fit well.

It’s best that you separate and install in two separate pieces, had to do some fabrication to get to fit in my mustang

It was an okay piece. Many years ago I installed torque boxes on my 65 fastback and they fit like a glove but can not recall who made them. This took a little effort to get it to fit, more than I expected.

These Canadian made torque boxes are well made. They do require some minor trimming so that they'll fit properly but it's very minor. It's a must that these torque boxes are welded in securely to be effective. I would definitely purchase these again.

If you are installing this after the floor is in you will have fitment issues. There is some moderate trimming and fitting to install this but quality is good.

This North American made, thicker steel is a quality piece worked well with the US Made, thicker steel floor pan that I used during the restoration of my '66 coupe. Very happy with all the SPI steel products that I have purchased through NPD.

I researched this part on Mustang forums, and found the consensus that the part needs to be modified substantially. First remove all the spot welds, then cut to fit. Considering the application is for 65-68 and it was not standard on 65-66, these should be made to retrofit to those years, and sold in two pieces. Second, these are made to install assuming you have the floor pans removed, as the lip on the floorboard section is towards the rear of the car. If you are adding these to 65-66 cars and don't have the floorpans out, there is not way to weld the lip to the outer panel. It has to be bent 180 degrees to weld. The overall fit is way off. I had to trim about a 1/2" off the frame side to make it fit.
