Bought this to help me assemble the retaining ring on my '67 ignition switch, and it's pretty much worthless. The three tangs that are supposed to fit in the slots on the ignition switch bezel don't fit, they appear to be too thick to fit into the slots and it won't stay centered on the ignition switch. I have a repo bezel, since new ones aren't available, but the repo I have appears to be an exact copy of the OEM bezel

Tool worked as designed to tighten the ignition switch bezel on my 1973 F250. Much better than trying to use a punch or chisel. You do need to hold the ignition switch housing behind the dash with one hand while using tool with your other hand so be prepared for that.

This
tool fits the original perfectly and it fits our repro, 11584-2A from
Carpenter, pretty well (but not perfect). It is noted in the description
that it struggles with some repros due to differences in the notch widths and
chrome plating.

This tool was offered in a lower quality version for a lower price but was not available. The other version had 3 roll pins to make contact with the slots in the ignition bezel this tool has FULL contact and much less likely to damage the bezel!!! Considering a new bezel is almost 3 times the price of this tool, I would consider it to be much more better good than the other version!!!
