Product did not resemble its on line picture. Bypass hole did not match up to original equipment. Threw it away.

I purchased this because all the other replacements I found used the earlier, smaller bypass connector. This one has the correct size connector for the 8597-3A bypass hose. The picture looks like cast iron, but the one I received was aluminum with a smoother finish. The fit was fine and there were no leaks to chase down when using a new gasket.

This is a nice replacement part but the online photo's and description do not match the part received (Four Seasons #84831). The boss for the temperature sender on the received part is a "D" shape which matches the actual original Ford part (a good thing for originality). It does not match the "O" shape shown in the pictures. Also, the fitting for the bypass hose is for a 5/8" ID hose not 3/4" as stated in the description. Should be OK with a bypass hose 5/8" on both ends.
