Part was longer than original and would not allow the door to close. Not a direct replacement for a 1970 Chevelle.

I had no problems with this door jamb switch. Note that the switch will collapse a bit to set the proper depth the first time the door is closed so seat the threaded portion exactly where you want it before you close the door because if you turn the threads into the door pillar more, the switch will be in the wrong spot
