Cross Sill, Rear, Steel, 7 Strip Style, includes rear welded in bracket, Bolts holes punched for bed strips and stake pockets, US-made reproduction
The rear cross sill is located below the tailgate. It ties the back of the bed together by being bolted crosswise from one bed side to the other. This rear sill has "brackets" welded in place. The bed-to-frame bolts passes through these brackets as it bolts from the wood to the frame. The strips and wood sit on the ledge that has pre drilled holes for mounting. The rear cross sill protects the edges of the wood boards. Contains the reinforcing bracket but not the hole for original spare tire carrier. These rear cross sill comes complete with all bolt holes punched for bed strips and attaching to stake pockets. Made in USA.
Installation Note:
It is recommend that you bolt the rear sill to the stake pockets. first. Make sure everything is square and level before tightening the bolts, then weld the rear cross sill to the stale pockets if desired, The bed strips and wood are bolted down to the rear cross sill after the rear cross sill is in place.
