Replacement. 3/4” offset. All new components upgraded with modern technology using bigger armature, bigger field coil and a stronger drive. Direct drive. 100 ft lbs of torque. 1.4 kw, 1.8 hp. OE look exterior with better internals. Stronger, better, more durable and reliable. Good for 10:1 compression and has been used beyond that. 3/4” offset. Offset is the distance from the starter mounting surface to the engine side of the ring gear. Fits 4.084” diameter block plate. The applications listed are original listings. We have found some mixing has occurred over the years. Check your measurement before ordering.

Typically the 3/4” offset Ford starter is used on M/T with 157 or 160 tooth flywheels and all A/T (157, 160 or 164 tooth flexplates).

I rebuilt starters and alternators years ago, so I know a good product when I see one. There is nothing cheap about this starter because it is pretty heavy just like an original. Feels and looks like excellent quality parts. No problems with installation, bolted right up and cranked the engine with no problem.
