Initially, this sending unit functioned well. The following season, the fuel gauge would no longer respond. Removal of the sending unit revealed several cracks and holes in the float, where the arm connects to the float. Also, the filter was no longer attached to the pickup line. Now I have to order another float and filter. With so many sending unit options, and this model's short life, I don't believe I would purchase this unit again.

Well when I filled up the gas tank,I now have a reading of 2-3 gallons off, maybe after a few tanks of gas it will read right?

For 30+ years, the Original sending unit that came with my Late '66 Coupe would push the needle of the fuel gauge well-over the 'Full' mark. Where as this new sending unit, barely pegs the Full line. Nonetheless, this quality built item works very well.
