When you open the hood there is a metal panel hanging down right behind the latch plate that comes down in front of the radiator when you close the hood. This seal goes on the bottom edge of that panel and seals the panel to the radiator when the hood is closed. The original seal was held on with staples so you should see the staple holes to guide the installation. The bottom edge of the panel has both inside and outside curves that this seal has to wrap around so holding it with adhesives instead of staples would probably be tricky. Very nice rubber, easy to work with and perfect length for the part.
