SEAL, TRUNK LOCK CYL RETAINER, INCL (1) CORRECT STYLE FLAT SEAL, REPRO D2OZ-65433A28-A
This trunk lock retainer seal is designed exclusively by National Parts Depot. It is designed to be a direct replacement for your worn out or missing factory seal. This seal is designed after the original D2OZ-65433A28-A unit and will be a direct fit for all 1979-1993 Fox Mustangs. This seal was originally used on all models and is located between the retainer and the body of the trunk lid. The original retainer was riveted to the factory lid and this seal / pad was designed to keep moisture or water from entering the lock location. This gasket / seal has been overlooked many times in restoration but NPD has made sure that even the little details matter. So if your original unit is deteriorating or just missing NPD has you covered!
Restorations Note:
When installing this gasket removal of the original factory retainer is required. The original retainer used a small rivet to hold it in place. NPD offers a correct mounting kit for your retainer that includes this proper rivet. See M-43629-1K for this kit.
