This hood to cowl seal looks like and is shaped like the original, but the material is a lot different. The original seal is made of a rubber similar to the consistency of a soft rubber radiator hose. You could not easily tear it. This seal is made of a foam type rubber similar to the foam rubber that is used on the doors weatherstripping seal and you can easily tear it. It looks good and is easy to install and I would recommend it until one made of the original type material is available.

This was a perfect replacement! Very easy to install. Don't accidently drop the fasteners down the cowl vents. I did, but I fished it without with any problems.

The only problem I had with this seal is the holes to add the clips to attach to the cowl. But if you have a tape measure you can just lay it out and cut the holes yourself with a knife.

It would be nice if instructions were included for using the fasteners. The old seal had small round holes to insert the “Tee” end of the plastic fasteners. I measured the old holes and drilled new holes in the new seal. I guessed the diameter? I forced the Tee into the seal. And by luck! It fit the holes in my cowl. A diagram and 1) 2) 3) steps would be helpful.
