cotter pin holes were drilled vertically instead of horizontal so new hole has to be made if you want to use it. In my application it would not work due to interference with the firewall.

As others have mentioned, the holes for the cotton pins are vertical when installed instead of horizontal. This presents a small problem, at least on my 68 clutch petal, because it has no where for the cotter pin to go on the clutch petal side. You can redrill - an easy step, but one that leaves room for improvement. Its cheap in price, and pretty heavy duty, so its still a decent part.
