For anyone who has struggled with reinstalling the 8-pin connector on a 65-66 Mustang firewall, this retainer is a life saver. Thank goodness they are sold in pairs as I destroyed the first retainer trying to learn how to best install. They are dimensionally exact as the originals and the four retaining tabs are perfectly angled such that, with a hard push from inside the vehicle, you will hear them click as they snap into place.

This guy knows what he is doing.  Nice that he didn't blame the part and figured it out on the second one.  They are pain to install. We would guess Ford had some kind of specialized installation tool for these.
