This kit from NPD features (8) replacement style hex head flange bolts (4 Upper versions & 4 Lower versions) as well as (8) replacement style hex head top lock / distorted thread flange locking nuts. Both the bolts and the nuts in this kit are a 10.9 grade hardware the same as factory, and both the bolts and the nuts are finished in a black phosphate finish. Installation Note:
This kit is designed to be used on 1999 thru 2004 Mustang only. It features the correct M14 size bolts and nuts that were used from the factory. This kit also features the correct 80mm length upper control arm bolts as well as the correct 100mm length lower control arm bolts.
This kit is designed to be used on 1979 thru 1998 Mustang only. It features the correct M12 size bolts and nuts that were used from the factory. This kit also features the correct 80mm length upper control arm bolts as well as the correct 100mm length lower control arm bolts. Ford used the same mounting nuts for both upper and lower.
Restoration Note:
This mounting kit for 1999 thru 2004 SN95 Mustangs is labeled as replacement style hardware due to the changes Ford offered in those years. This kit features a hex head flange bolts that were used from 1999 thru 2004 but is not finished in the correct color and is slightly shorter than the original bolt. This kit also includes top lock / distorted thread flange locking nuts that are replacements for the 99-04 Mustang. Ford in 1999 went to a nylon locking style hex head flange nuts as well as changed the finish. These changes in 1999 make this kit a replacement style kit.
This mounting kit will not work for 1979 thru 1998 Mustang because starting in 1999 Ford increased the size of the lower control arm bolts to a M14 Hex head flange bolt.
