While most patch panels need some massaging to work, these lower fender repairs are among the worst. The steel is good quality, but the details are poor. The creases along the body line and the wheel opening are radiused when they should be crisp. The semi circle cut out at the bottom for the mounting bolt is missing forcing you to make a difficult rounded cut. Both front and rear corners should be rounded but are cut straight. At the rear edge is a 3/4” 90 degree bend when it should be a 3/8” folded lip. In areas where it has bends it has ripples that have to be smoothed out. In the end I was able to work it into a good fitting repair, but it took extensive work that should have been done properly when it was made. Unfortunately other than finding a good used fender or buying a complete new fender (which have their own issues) there is no other good option for this commonly needed patch. I am only recommending it because There aren’t any other options.
