Changing to a diaphragm style pressure plate may require the removal of your clutch pedal return spring located under the dash. RAM clutch sets have a 5 year / 50,000 mile limited warranty (proof of flywheel resurfacing is required).
RAM HDX performance clutch kits are the top-level organic clutch combinations that RAM offers. In addition to the increased clamp load pressure plate, clutch discs feature a premium organic facing material utilizing either an 8 spring or helix center clutch hub assembly to maximize disc strength and durability. A lighter marcel spring in the disc carrier insures quick and clean shifting while minimizing chatter on takeoff. HDX clutch kits will give you the confidence, and are a great option for spirited driving and durability up to 450 horsepower. You must resurface your flywheel prior to the installation of any clutch and replace your pilot bearing (7600). Check flywheel for signs of heat spots, warping or cracks and replace any questionable ones. New flywheels, including SFI certified flywheels can be found in the engine section or by searching for flywheel. It is possible to install a 10.5 clutch in place of any 10 clutch as the Long style pressure plate mounting bolt pattern is the same. It is advisable to use thread locker on the pressure plate mounting bolts and torque to spec in the proper sequence.
