Ordered this as a replacement for a bent up power antenna from the PO. Should have been more leary when the chrome top which comes pre-screwed down on the mast base was VERY hard to unscrew. Got it unscrewed and mounted, but it when i went to screw it back down onto the base it was VERY hard to tighten. After a few turns, i decided to unscrew it to check it out, but it was locked on tight. Ended up breaking the mast base to free it up-had to use a dremel to cut the darn thing off-i looked closely at the threads and looked like it had some damage or burring on the threads-should have known when it was so hard to unscrew out of the bag! Yikes-wasted $20. Check yours carefully before the install!!

Arrived quickly after order, the radio antenna was easy to install, although taking the old one apart wasn't that easy, and watch out for the old antenna to drop into a fender well from where it isn't easy to extract.

Very nice original look and function part. Has a good bit of height when fully extended-might lower it a bit to enter a standard residential garage. Has a very good grommet for the fender. Good choice for early Mustangs.

Easy installation and fit well. The height does seem to extend higher than anyone would use. But that is better than being to short. I am happy with extending to just the height that I want.

Looks great, a bit tough to screw on. But ifs VERY fragile. I bumped it lightly and the mast just snapped off. I replaced it with the more expensive version which fit better, installed easily and feels much more solid.
