Thicker than original radiators may also need modifications to the saddle mounts to fit the thicker tanks and for the location of the drain cocks. 67’s using 24” extra cooling radiators, brass or aluminum, will require the use of 68-70 lower mounts (8052-1A, 1B, 1C) for a proper mounting.Aluminum radiators and heater cores require 50/50 mix coolant replacement at least every 24 months or 30,000 miles to maintain the necessary silicate levels that prevent corrosion in aluminum.

I upgraded from standard cooling to this radiator, it made a huge difference. My only complaint is that the paint on the top tank started flaking off in a couple of places and had to touch up 3-4 months after install.

National Parts Depot is great, after the original radiator for our 68 Cougar was ruined by a radiator shop we ordered a replacement from NPD. We were contacted directly from a manager that the one they had in stock had been damaged in the warehouse. Without a radiator we would be missing our local Christmas parade. NPD came through, was able to get us a different radiator for a great price with free shipping and got us back on the road. Excellent customer service!
