Improved version. Electrolysis is a chemical reaction produced by current that can gradually destroy metal components and ruin your engine and cooling system. These caps with their sacrificial anode absorb the destructive electrolysis instead of your engine and cooling components. ** Will not fit Cold Case Radiators! **

Second one I have purchased, it is replacing one I that I installed on my 1969 Mustang seven years ago. Still about 2/3rds of that anode remaining. My sensor for the coolant temperature was going bad . . . . so decided to go through coolant system and replace parts like the hoses, etc. Happy with product . . .

This is my second time to purchase this radiator cap for my ‘68 Camaro with a GM 383 sb alum head, intake, iron block. The sacrificial anode provides an extra layer of protection from electrolysis
