These valves were originally assembled in clean rooms and every effort should be made to keep contaminates to an absolute minimum. Some have suggested that after a through cleaning and degreasing to dump everything in a container of fresh brake fluid and assemble the valve while submerged. Buy this kit even if you have the "late" version of the proportioning valve. The large flat seal goes around the outside of the valve over the weep hole and also provides vibrationprotection. All seals and the circling are high quality.
