Special tool required to install pressed on power steering pulleys. Installs pulleys without damage to the pump by exerting force only through the shaft. Fits most Ford power steering pulleys with a 38-16 threaded interanl pulley shaft. Exactly as Ford specified. Lifetime limited manufacturer warranty. See also 988-3 for pulley puller.

Cheap tool, did get pulley on pump then threw away. Pumped grease into bearing b-4 use. When any pressure applied locked solid. And would unscrew from shaft, had to use washers and antiseize and a strap wrench on pulley. On the floor to get pulley on shaft. Would work better with a decent bearing.

The bearing is not very good, and resulted in the tool turning the pulley and unscrewing itself when trying to tighten it to press on the pulley. I was also slightly off kilter and just overall, very frustrating to use. I would not buy this tool again.
