This paint mix is THE CORRECT shade of blue and is considered the only concours correct paint for the Ford Thompson power steering pumps. Exact match slop paint mix matched to several known original pumps covering several years. Application was very sloppy and resulted in runs and drips with the pump positioned with the shaft facing down.
There are other shades claiming to be Ford power steering pump paint ranging from teal blue to light blue. These are not even close to being correct and one paint labeled as Ford Pump paint is actually Pontiac engine blue!!

I have reconditioned two Ford pumps with this product. It is an exact match which lays on smooth and dries to a nice gloss. I have over a half can left for future pumps. I would highly recommend this product.

This paint is NOT an exact match. It is too dark. It went on good and looks nice, but the color is wrong. Smells really strange for paint too.

Professional rebuilder here. This is the paint I use on all Ford/Thompson pumps. It is a little darker than most 65-69 pumps but very close. Haven't seen anyone make a more correct paint for these years. The color looks more like 70 and later style. Have never had anyone complain about the color in 15 years. Covers really well and I can get 3 or 4 pump cans and housing out of a single can, so it is a good value for the money.
