Please note that it is a good idea to support the reservoir retainer nut while tightening the pressure hose to the pump. Although the manufacturer has made internal changes to make the likely hood of tearing the inner seal less common. It is still a good practice to to support the nut to prevent the motor from shifting inside the housing and ensure a good tight fluid seal .
**You must flush the PS system anytime components are replaced to eliminate any contamination and to validate manufacturers warranties. Many transmission fluids available on the market do not meet manufacturer minimum standards for friction, viscosity, corrosion or wear, In fact Cardone, the largest supplier of rebuilt power steering components, has found the cause of many power steering related failures can be traced back to low quality fluid, Dont risk your restoration on a budget brand fluid. See 19582-2 for Motorcraft brand Type F fluid for use in vehicles that specify type F in the P/S system up to 1995. **

The pump works well as a replacement for the OEM. The provided seal for the pressure port stem to canister, located at the back of pump, is much thinner than the OEM and will leak. I had to take everything apart again and coat the gasket with gasket seal to stop the leak. As to the value, pricing was higher than other vendors for the same manufacture. Additionally, the core refund and return process is antiquated.
