This rebuilt / reconditioned steering gearbox from Lares starts with a thoroughly cleaned and exterior surfaces reconditioned core, giving a like-new look. All internal components are carefully inspected and replaced, while all seals and O-rings are replaced with OE equivalent parts. But this steering box gets all internal components replaced with 3rd-generation Camaro IROC model parts, resulting in a shorter lock-to-lock ratio and better control. Finally, the steering box is tested to insure OE performance, then painted a cast iron gray finish.

Does not include steering joint coupler (see part number C-6525-6A).

Installation / Warranty Notes:

You must flush the Power Steering system completely any time components are replaced to eliminate any contamination and to validate manufacturer's warranties.Many transmission fluids available on the market do not meet manufacturer's minimum standards for friction, viscosity, corrosion or wear. Research has found the cause of many power steering related failures can be traced back to low quality fluid. Dont risk your restoration on a budget brand fluid.
