Ball joints are properly lubricated. Painted with a high quality paint. All units are carefully packaged to ensure safe arrival at your door. Remanufactured in the USA and backed with a Limited Lifetime Manufacturers Warranty. This valve has been properly lubricated at the factory...do not add grease!
**You must flush the PS system anytime components are replaced to eliminate any contamination and to validate manufacturers warranties. Many transmission fluids available on the market do not meet manufacturer minimum standards for friction, viscosity, corrosion or wear, In fact Cardone, the largest supplier of rebuilt power steering components, has found the cause of many power steering related failures can be traced back to low quality fluid, Dont risk your restoration on a budget brand fluid. See 19582-2 for Motorcraft brand Type F fluid for use in vehicles that specify type F in the P/S system up to 1995. **

Works great - just like it should! Do be aware that you will be charged a $500 core charge which will be refunded when you ship your old Control Valve back to NPD. would've been helpful to know this in advance - the charge was not on the original invoice. I didn't learn that they had charged my credit card for the core charge until I got the invoice in the box with the valve.

Terrible. The ball shaft screw threads were peened from previous removal, which I found after installing it. Had to make a call to use a rebuild kit I already had to rebuild this "rebuilt" unit. Parts inside the unit were worn out and junk. Spool valve had corrosion on it. Sent the junk parts with my $500 core back to NPD. It did have a new seal kit and poorly applied black paint so it was just above a rattle can rebuild. Installed it after I rebuilt it and it does not leak, which was the problem with the original. Fingers crossed. Overall rating, don't waste your money.
