Ball joints are properly lubricated. Painted with a high quality paint. All units are carefully packaged to ensure safe arrival at your door. Remanufactured in the USA and backed with a Limited Lifetime Manufacturers Warranty. This valve has been properly lubricated at the factory...do not add grease!
**You must flush the PS system anytime components are replaced to eliminate any contamination and to validate manufacturers warranties. Many transmission fluids available on the market do not meet manufacturer minimum standards for friction, viscosity, corrosion or wear, In fact Cardone, the largest supplier of rebuilt power steering components, has found the cause of many power steering related failures can be traced back to low quality fluid, Dont risk your restoration on a budget brand fluid. See 19582-2 for Motorcraft brand Type F fluid for use in vehicles that specify type F in the P/S system up to 1995. **

I was unhappy that the threads on the ball stud were damaged, by whoever previously removed this control valve from their vehicle. The rebuilder (Lares) should have checked the condition of the threads to make sure that a nut could be screwed onto them. It took me about 2 hours, working with a file to restore the threads to a condition that would allow me to thread the nut back on them. Not acceptable for the price paid. Lares needs to improve their quality checks.
