Power Brake Booster Conversion Kit, Dual Bowl Master Cylinder

Includes dual bowl master cylinder. Requires manifold fitting kit 2A047 OR 9A474, some new brake lines will need to be custom bent. Disc cars will require an additional proportioning valve or combo valve available separately if not already equipped with one.

You can now easily add power brakes to your 64-66 Mustang while maintaining a factory look. This new kit has been developed to clear the factory export brace and strut tower while retaining proper alignment to the stock brake pedal. However we still highly recommend the use of a one piece export brace to give additional clearance over the master cylinder. Designed only to work with vehicles that have the factory Z Bar style clutch, customers running the aftermarket cable style clutch will need to continue to use the kits for Automatic transmissions. Slight modification to the push rod hole in the firewall is necessary. The firewall plate included serves as a template for this modification as well as a cover to keep debris and exhaust fumes out of the cockpit. Finally we added a new 1 1/16" bore master cylinder to this kit, with the increase in pedal ratio it is necessary to reduce long pedal travel and spongy pedal feel. As you can see the master cylinder looks exactly like a stock dual bowl disc brake master cylinder and has the same inlet sizes.
