I had high hopes for this drink holder solution for my 67. There's nothing like trying to shift a Muncie in traffic while balancing a drink. I though this would be a reasonable solution to the problem of no factor cup holders in 1967. The cup holder does indeed plug into the ash tray slot, but it comes at a tradeoff. First, I have a 67 with factory console gauges. At least I can barely see the fuel and temp gauges; no hope on seeing the clock, oil, or ammeter. Second, only the smallest drinks can be used. Think Coke can, nothing bought at a fountain and certainly not a Big Gulp. Every drink container larger or taller than a Coke can WILL interfere with the sloped center stack. The finish of the drink holder is nice, but I had to trim/file the sides of the plug portion before it fit nicely into the ash tray slot.
