This is the purplish blue, not the dark blue. If you need dark, find code Dupli Color DE-1621. NPD does not sell it.

I wouldn't call this Dark Ford Blue unless they had a purple tint to their blue???? Duplicolor DE1621 isn't perfect, but it's closer and it doesn't look purple.

NPD's AP-EB paint has been reformulated for 2023 to improve on the previous formula and is now without a doubt the closest Ford Corporate Blue paint available in an aerosol can anywhere. I've used many brands and versions of "Ford Corporate Blue" over the last 30 years, and while there were some near perfect matches in the past from a number of brands, today those "perfect" old colors are no longer available. NPD's new AP-EB formula is the holy grail of Ford Corporate Blue. The only way to get closer would be to work with a custom paint shop- you'd spend more money and more time to get that right, but NPD has the solution right now. I was fortunate to do some tests with NPD on both the old and new AP-EB mixes and they've knocked it out of the park with the latest revision! This version should be hitting the shelves here soon, so keep an eye out, and check back often if it's not in stock!

2 things caused the lower review , price is one as it’s very expensive and the 2nd is it seems a little darker than the #224 Plasticote which was the previous go to for many. Paint does seem to apply well and cover good.

Tried an old can of ford blue I had and have used, a couple new ones I bought... just not right. This one though, it matches what was on the 73 air cleaner I have almost perfectly. It's really close, much closer than anything else I've tried. Seems to spray well enough too, for me it's worth the cost as it appears to be the right color and that's what I was seeking.
