Scre is soft metal. Original hardware better. Looks good and functional. If you are having trouble...watch a YouTube video. It made my life easier.. If you have new doors... the hole in door jam may be off a tad giving a bad angle for your mounting screw. You'll need to wahler out the hole a smidge and use a washer.
