Just so
that you know and are not disappointed with future purchases, the EDP coating
on reproduction parts is not intended as a final ready-to-install
finish. It is simply a protectant finish to protect parts from rusting during
their long boat trip from Taiwan to USA. Pretty much any reproduction steel panel
that you purchase, will either be bare-steel (US-made) or EDP coated (Taiwan,
needs protection from salt air during shipment). All parts must be properly
prepped, primed and painted, following whatever best-quality protocol/products
you prefer. This applies not just to parts you purchase from NPD, but parts you
would purchase from anywhere.
