This emblems is designed to be a replacement style for you 1994-98 or 1999-04 Mustang Mach 1 and Cobra models. This chrome emblem included a replacement style black powder coated mounting bracket & torx style mounting screws. It is designed for 1999-04 Mach 1 delete conversion and eliminate the requirement to modify the original back filler panel or the need for a new Mach 1 style back filler panel. The Mach 1 style back filler panels do give a more finished look and will work fine with these emblems. So, if you are looking to restore or update the front end of your 94-04 Mustang, look at picking up one of these units from NPD today!
Restoration Note:
This running horse style grille emblem is called out as being a replacement style due to it not using a OE style mounting bracket and also featuring a metal running horse. If you are looking for a OE correct style see NPD part number M-8A224-100A for as close to original as possible.
Installation Note:
The Torx style screws that are included with this emblem are not the security style Torx scews that were originally used on the front grille emblem on the 1994-2004 Mustangs. The do look and appear just like the original style.
If you are looking to add this unit you your 1999-2004 Mustang V6 or GT you will need to use the Mach 1 style grille delete panel. See NPD part number M-17B814-145A
Note:
M-8A224-100CA is a oversized design and looks great on 1999-04 Mach 1 delete conversions that create a large opening for this oversized emblem. If you are looking for this same style emblem but with a gloss black finish see NPD part number M-8A224-100BB.

Is a good price but I was disappointed to find the emblem sits loosely on the bracket via push nuts. There are also grinding/tool marks along the perimeter, under the chrome plating, probably from removing casting flash during the manufacturing process. I made and adjustment to the push pins at first to stop the wobbling. Then a month after driving I had to make another adjustment to the push nuts so they would hold tightly and keep the emblem from wobbling on the studs.
