If you are looking for original Ford hardware for your 1986 thru 1993 Foxbody Mustang NPD has you covered. This lower front fender & side cowl panel bolt is based of the original N800947-S2 Ford part. These are some of the last remaining original hardware bolts. These bolts feature the correct 8mm hex head with correct 25mm washer. These units also feature the correct dog point end as well as the correct 27.5 mm length. They are a class 9.8 grade and feature the correct head markings. So, if you are missing your original bolts or are looking to do the concourse restoration look at picking up some of these from NPD today!
Restoration Note:
These are some of the last remaining original N800947-S2 Ford bolts for your Foxbody. The original Ford part number N800947-S2 was replaced by Ford with the N800947-S301A Ford number. These bolt are the original number. They have all the correct markings that the original Ford bolt would have. The lower front fender bolt is seen from the underside of the car and this bolt would give you that factory look! These bolts were only used on 1986 thru 1993 Mustangs when Ford changed over to the metric fasteners.
Installation Note:
These original bolts were used in two locations. The first location was the lower mounting hole on the front fender at the pinch weld location. This bolt was installed into a special designed clip and was painted body color to ensure a factory look. The second location was on the side cowl panel tab that would mount to the front fender bracket. This larger washer would ensure that it would not go thru the square hole that was on this cowl panel tab. These would install into the J-clip that was mounted on the fender bracket.
Note:
These mounting bolts were typically painted body color to ensure that they matched. They had a Phosphate finish to help reduce rusting.
