Restoration Note:
The original Ford units, denoted by the part number 1R3Z-19893-AA, were later replaced by Ford with updated part numbers 3R3Z-19893-AA. Despite these changes, NPD has found that these units retain the same color and features, indicating that they are essentially identical in terms of their design and functionality.
From 1994 to 2000, the original air conditioning (A/C) center registers in Ford Mustang featured a shutoff valve and handles on both the driver and passenger side center vents. However, in 2001, the design was updated and the shutoff valve was discontinued, as the entire center instrument finish panel was redesigned. These units are correct for the later 2001 thru 2004 style.
Installation Note:
These units are designed to replace the entire center A/C register assembly in your SN95 Mustang factory instrument finish panel, providing a direct and easy-to-install solution. Once the old unit is removed, the new one simply clips into place, allowing for a seamless installation process.
