The elbow does not fit in the grommet. Most likely the hole in the cap is too small to allow grommet to expand to clear cap tried multiple ways to get this installed, ranging from grommet in cap and trying to push elbow through or grommet on elbow and working it in. No luck. Elbow and grommet fit fine on original motor craft part I had on shelf.

Nice quality. I had to glue the grommet in with weatherstrip adhesive after wax and grease cleaner and let that dry overnight. I then did a shot of silicon spray on the nipple so it can be forced in. Great detail touch. I have bought several of these. The little ears that twist in the valve cover are very week, so don't press on them when forcing the nipple in. Looks nice installed

This product was impossible to use. The brass fitting would not go into the grommet no matter what. I tried a heat gun,I tried silicone lubricant, I tried grease, nothing worked. I finally ended up ripping the grommet. I called the tech number at Scott Drake and left a message and never heard back from them. I ended up ordering 3 new grommets just in case, and I had a plastic fitting. I ground the lip on the plastic fitting and used lots of grease and a screwdriver to pry and push with an finally got it together.
