Construction is solid. This is a "push-on" style cap, and will fit on valve covers that have the oil filler tube extending from the cover. This cap has metal clamps inside the housing that are designed to grasp the indentation around the oil filler tube; when I pressed it on my oil filler tube, it took some pressure due to the clamp resistance, but I took that as a good sign that it won't pop off under use. As I pushed it on further, i felt and heard a distinctive "click" as the clamp grabbed the indentation ring on the oil filler tube. So, for now all seems good.

Note this is the push on type. So you need the tube sticking out of the valve cover. Fits perfect, looks like it’s good quality, nice looking part.
