This 1994-2004 Mustang rear bumper cover support bracket mounting kit from National Parts Depot is designed to provide all the correct hardware needed to properly mount your original or reproduction brackets to your rear bumper cover. This kit includes (6) OE-style star pushnuts for the center support bracket and (6) OE-style aluminum rivets used for the RH and LH side brackets. This kit includes enough hardware to cover 1994 through 2004 model years. Restoration Note:

Ford listings do not show the use of center bracket pushnuts on 1994 through 1998 models. However, NPD research has revealed that Ford began installing these pushnuts sometime during these model years to properly secure the center support bracket to the rear bumper cover, making installation easier. Ford also modified the center support bracket several times throughout the 1994-2004 model years. This kit includes sufficient pushnuts to accommodate each style of center support bracket.

The RH and LH rear bumper cover side support brackets feature two different styles: the 1994-98 style and the 1999-04 style. The earlier 1994-98 style utilizes six aluminum rivets to mount both RH and LH sides brackets to the rear bumper cover, whereas the 1999-04 style employs four aluminum rivets to properly secure the brackets to the rear bumper cover. This kit includes sufficient hardware to accommodate both styles.

Installation Note:

The center bracket pushnuts are designed to be installed onto the center bracket studs after the center bracket has been installed into the rear bumper cover. These pushnuts secure the center bracket to the rear bumper cover, making installation easier.

Note that installing the RH and LH side support bracket rivets requires a proper rivet gun. NPD offers a suitable rivet gun option, part number 988-2A, for those who need it.

Note:

When looking for the correct nuts, bolts, and push pins to properly install your Mustang's rear bumper cover to the body, NPD has you covered. For 94-98 style Mustangs, use part number M-17K835-100ADK; for 99-04 style Mustangs, use part number M-17K835-125ADK.
