These units were designed and based of the original E7ZB-6104459 / E7ZZ-6104459-A Ford part numbers and feature an OE style texture as well as the correct mounting tabs. Speaking of hardware, each panel includes (2) OE style clip-on spring retainers (Ford part number E7FZ-61046A46-A) as well as (2) OE style push on rubber bumpers that would have been include when you purchased this unit originally from Ford. Each unit also includes the OE CORRECT SEAL that is designed just like the original factory unit. Restoration Note:
This unit is molded in a black interior color and is designed to be a direct replacement for your 1987-1989 Mustang. Note that black was not an original interior color option for 87 thru 89 Foxbody Mustangs. This unit can also be used as an upgrade on all 1987-1989 Foxbody Mustangs that are looking to do a black interior color change. We at NPD decided to offer these parts in two color option. See M-04459-3G for the correct Smoke Gray color option or for the best color for paint to match.
Installation Note:
These panels will require you to install the seal, mounting hardware and bumpers prior to installation. NPD has done this for two reasons. First, this is how the service part came from Ford and second if you need to paint the panel prior to installing it you do not need to remove the mounting hardware and seal.
These unit are designed to mount directly to your under dash panel. The only hardware not included with this panel is the two under dash mounting screws. NPD also offers the correct mounting screws to mount this panel to the underside of the dash. See NPD part number M-04459-3K
These panels are designed to be used with original or NPD exclusive Fuse Panel Opening covers. NPD offers these Fuse panel covers in the same finish and texture to make matching your Instrument panel cover and easy install.
