These units were designed and based of the original E7ZB-61045D62-A / E7ZZ-61045D62-A Ford part numbers and feature an OE style texture as well as the correct mounting tabs and hardware. Speaking of hardware, each panel includes (4) OE style clip-on spring retainers as well as (4) OE style push on rubber bumpers that would have been include when you purchased this unit originally from Ford. NPD decided to take this part a step farther with including the correct small FUSES front decal as well as the correct larger Fuse identification decal that mounts on the backside of this unit. Restoration Note:
This unit is molded in a black interior color and is designed to be a direct replacement for your 1987-1989 Mustang. Note that black was not an original interior color option for 87 thru 89 Foxbody Mustangs. This unit can also be used as an upgrade on all 1987-1989 Foxbody Mustangs that are looking to do a black interior color change. We at NPD decided to offer these parts in two color option. See M-045d62-1G for the correct Smoke Gray color option or for the best color for paint to match.
Installation Note:
These panels will require you to install both decals, mounting hardware and bumpers prior to installation. NPD has done this for two reasons. First, this is how the service part came from Ford and second if you need to paint the panel prior to installing it you do not need to remove the mounting hardware and two decals.
These unit are designed to mount directly to your under dash panel and cover the original fuses panel. The large fuse location decal that is included with this panel is designed for the 1987 thru 1989 Foxbody Mustang. The ID Code listed on the decal is E7ZB-14K016-AB and shows the original / proper fuse size and layout.
These panels are designed to be used with original or NPD exclusive Instrument Panel Steering column covers.
