I haruined the threads on the steering column in my work of removing the previous owners' K-mart steering wheel. I used this large nut to fix the threads by cutting a slot in it, expanding THE OPENING WITH A FLAT-BLADE SCREWDRIVER, running it down over the damaged area of threads and then using oil, slowly threading it back up. This nut worked great as an ersatz die to repair the threads.THANKS!
