My original heater casing nuts had washer-like rubber inserts between the nut and firewall which nested inside of the cupped side of the nut. This set does not include the rubber inserts. However I am not sure what the purpose of the rubber inserts are. These heater casing hex nuts worked as expected, holding the heater motor against the firewall (which itself was already attached to the heater box that was mounted to the inside of the car.) I am not sure that the lack of the rubber inserts will make much difference.

The only reason I gave 4 stars is because they don’t look lije the pic. However, I can live with them even though they are a shiny chrome.

We’ve
had these in Zinc dichromate, black and zinc (which is what you received, it’s not
chrome). Guess it depends on what
Charlie (our supplier) can get his hands on at the time. Finish is, in the end, irrelevant, as these
are supposed to be coated with sealant after installation in the firewall. And on
a positive note, these have the sealing washers (pursuant to earlier review) that the dichromate washers did
not.
