MOUNTING KIT, THROTTLE BODY ASSY, INCL (4) OE CORRECT STYLE HEX HEAD BOLTS W/ FREE SPINNING WASHERS, ORIGINAL FORD HARDWARE, THESE ARE THE BOLTS THAT MOUNT THE THROTTLE BODY TO THE UPPER INTAKE PLENUM
This mounting kit is designed to mount your throttle body assembly to your upper intake plenum on your 1996-1998 4.6L engine. This kit includes 4 OE correct hex head bolts with free spinning washer. These bolts over time can become rusted and damaged due to the elements or even engine heat. So if you are replacing your throttle body with a performance unit or just freshing up your engine compartment these direct replacement bolts are just the part for you.
Restoration Note:
The original Ford information shows two different types of throttle body mounting hardware for 1996 thru 2004. One is the Silver zinc or Zinc dichromate finish with a free spinning washer the other is a zinc dichromate version with a hex head flange style head. NPD has researched this and the year break and model listings are the closest we can come to being OE correct. We offer both versions and believe that the free spinning washer style was used in the earlier 1996 thru 1998 models and the Hex head flange type was used on the 1999 thru 2004 models. This is based on cars that are in the NPD collection. Please check your original version and order accordingly.
We have noticed that the 1996-1998 models used both the Silver Zinc or the Zinc dichromate for the correct finish. This kit features the Silver Zinc version as Ford no longer offers the Zinc dichromate version.
Installation Note:
This kit is designed to fit all 1996-1998 4.6L 2V and 4V engines. This kit will work on Mustang GTs and Cobra models.
