MOTOR ASSY, Windshield Wiper, New, 2 speed, replacement, ** note that some motors are coming through with wiring that is different than the original. The confusion is with the supplied green and white wires. The supplied green wire goes to the Ford White #58 low speed and the white goes to the Ford Black #615A park or they may be reversed and the green goes to black and the white goes to white. We are working with the supplier to get this straightened out. **, See 17508-2AK, 17508-2BK for mounting kit options,

No doubt due to the origin/country of manufacture the bolts/motor threads are metric. The washer and lock washer are fitted on each bolt so they cannot be removed (so tight I wouldn't want to force them over the threads). The mount of the motor has rubber grommets in which these bolts are inserted into then to the motor itself. In order NOT to over tighten the bolts and damage the rubber grommets there are metal inserts inside these grommets. So with the new bolts and the accompanying washers there is not enough bolt/threads extending past the metal spacer insert to attach itself to the motor. Fix would be to purchase extra bolts long enough (finding length and correct metric thread count) or cut down the metal inserts to accept the provided bolts. This is what I did. The worse problem is the wiring colors. They do NOT agree with Ford's colors for this motor. This created a electrical problem which can be damaging to the electrical system. I wrote up a explanation (below) for the Mustang forums. Below is the new motor connection to the Ford wiring. Note that the confusion lies with the new motor’s GREEN and WHITE wires. On our 1968 Mustang Coupe, the wiper connector arrangement didn't work and resulted in damage to console 3-position wiper switch. Green and white wires had to be swapped. Or alternately, as easier, with this motor, harness black & white can be swapped. The comments in the product description about the wiring issue are insufficient for INSTALLER AWARENESS. Wiper motors going out to customers should be clearly marked with a "Conspicuous Warning Label" citing the wiring/connector issue and/or all connectors be made correct. This is a serious quality and even a possible safety issue.
