Mirror fits well, but is not the same shape as the original mirror.

We have checked our stock, and find this mirror to indeed be correct for 1967 (1967 was a 1-year-only mirror with a unique rectangular shape and round day/night knob). I have emailed the reviewer in the hopes of determining whether his original mirror was in-fact original to the car.

Perfect replacement part, was a 2 minute install with only a screwdriver. You don't need to take the mounting plate off of the car, but it made it a lot easier.

I have to agree with reviewer that states it's not the same as orginal. My '67 Fastback has orginal and the top corners are rounded looking very different then one pictured here....... Was looking to replace, but can't find one....

I am the one who refuted the claims of that first reviewer. I again pulled a sample of 17700-2B from our shelf, and compared to all three of the 1967 Mustangs in our collection, one of which is an un-restored 32K original-mile example with an as-new virgin original interior. Another was restored back in 1979, before reproductions existed. All three mirrors are symmetrical and rectangular, just as in the picture online.

 I would strongly suggest that if your mirror is rounded at the top corners, it is a non-original mirror, perhaps a Ford “service part” (Ford had a habit of substituting generic “will work” parts for its service parts throughout the 70’s and 80’s, as they had no real concern for originality or show-correctness). If you would send me a photo of your existing mirror, front and back if possible, I can confirm my suspicions.
