BEARING KIT, Steering Shaft Adapter, Lower, replaces the factory GM bushing kit found at the base of the main steering column, repro
Don't replace your steering column; fix it with this lower steering shaft adapter bearing kit. This is a common fix if you are changing the lower steering shaft or replacing the steering coupler that attaches to the gear box. The reason is the lower steering shaft has to be removed to slip the old bearing assembly out and to install the new one. Kit includes adapter (GM part number 7805822), bearing (GM p/n 7805700), retainer (GM p/n 7804440) and retainer clip (GM p/n 7804439).

The bearing looked and fit perfectly. The first time I had to replace this bearing. I would like to point out that the bearing snaps into the plastic collar and I used a vise and 2 steel plates to press it in. Also I recommend you order the spring which is available separately..
